What are your treehouses and playhouses made from?
Virtually all of the wood we use is reclaimed during building work and loft extensions.
Will a treehouse damage my tree?
No. We build our treehouses on posts built around the tree leaving it free from harm and with room to grow in the future.
Will I need to treat or paint my treehouse?
We will treat for woodworm and varnish any finished wood.
How long will my treehouse last?
With proper care it should last a lifetime
Do I need planning permission?
Planning permission is not normally required for wooden structures, depending on their size and distance from any shared boundary. If planning is required, architectural drawings are not required and we are happy to provide drawings at no extra cost.
Are your playhouses safe for children?
We fit handrails to a safe height on stairs and use safety glass in windows. We always keep safety in mind depending on the individual situation.
How much will a treehouse or playhouse cost?
Every build is different and will depend upon the size and situation but you can expect to pay from £2000 upwards for a treehouse or playhouse. We'll always agree a price with you before starting work. We normally ask for a deposit if you want to proceed.
Can I design my own treehouse or playhouse?
Yes
Can I have electricity and running water in my treehouse and who will install it?
If required, we can arrange electricity or water supply. The price of this will vary considerably depending on the situation.
Can my treehouse be used year round?
Some of our houses have been fitted with insulation and electric heaters to allow four season use.
